Sudoku comes from Japan. The user's task is simple - to fill the grid with numbers from 1 to 9, observing the conditions (in the grid 3 * 3, in the column and in the row must be all the numbers from 1 to 9).

You can play Sudoku online at home, on vacation, at work, at school, or on public transportation. Japanese puzzle is not only a way to "kill time", but also a useful activity that helps to:

  • improve concentration and focus;
  • develop logical thinking;
  • to calm down in stressful situations and nervous excitement, to distract from oppressive thoughts;
  • maintain brain activity (Sudoku is recommended for the prevention of Alzheimer's disease).

About Sudoku

It is commonly believed that this game originated in Japan (partly true). But in fact, the Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler laid the foundations. It was he who invented the "Latin square".

In 1979, the American architect Howard Garnes created a puzzle based on Euler's square. However, it was not appreciated by readers from the USA. The Japanese, however, liked it very much. Residents of the island nation gave the puzzle its own name - Sudoku (it translates as "number standing alone").

Game from Japan is useful for both children and adults. There is no age limit. Sudoku does not require any special mathematical skills: you just need to concentrate and try to fill in the grid.

There are several difficulty levels of the game:

  • easy (for beginners);
  • intermediate (for advanced users);
  • professional (complex, expert).

There are devilish sudoku, created for people who are not the first year to understand the logic and "snap like nuts" simple tasks.

Sudoku rules and restrictions

The user's task is to fill the 9 * 9 grid with numbers from 1 to 9. The conditions of the game are that the numbers may not be repeated:

  • in columns;
  • in the rows;
  • in a 3 * 3 grid.

For the devilish and professional levels of the game there are additional restrictions.

At the beginning some of the cells are already filled in, you just have to fill in the rest of the cells according to the rules of the game.

Beginners can start solving simple Sudokus with hints. As you gain skill and experience, the difficulty level will increase.

Game hints for beginners:

  1. Look for grids, bars, and rows with 5 or more filled cells.
  2. Look for rows and columns with 2 of the same numbers. Logically, a third should appear in the remaining grid of 9 cells.

If you make three mistakes, you will have to start the whole process again.

Now you know how to play Sudoku online at any level of difficulty.
